Post North Dakota Wind Farm
The last few trips down to Fargo and then back home, we've gone through Winnipeg to see my mom.

We decided to come back this time through Rugby ND (the geographical center of North America) to see how the Wind Farm just north of the town was coming along. It is supposed to be on-line now but a good number of the turbines were not working, yet, I guess.

So where is Rugby? About 120 miles south of here.

The photos were taken through the van's tinted windows which may have caused the strangeness of the colour.

My favourite.

Nice pics, Bob. And THANKS for including the map! I have looked up where you live, so I have a clue. You're almost straight north of us. I'm very used to seeing the wind farms in California, so it looks just a bit strange to see them in snowy fields!

the movie fargo is indelibly linked to the real city in my mind and always brings a smile to my face. i have seen wind farms in several places and have never seen all the turbines in a field turning. guess they take their turn so to speak. happy new year
